Condition documentation

How booster box condition affects a sealed collectible.

Condition matters most to display-focused sealed collectors. Opening buyers may accept cosmetic wear, but should still understand signs of moisture, crushing, or possible interference.

Does booster box condition affect value?

Yes, but there is no universal deduction for each flaw. Set demand, scarcity, box age, wrap integrity, display appeal, and buyer purpose all affect the result. Compare actual completed sales for similarly conditioned units rather than applying a fixed percentage.

Does torn or loose shrink wrap mean a box was resealed?

Not necessarily. Small tears can result from handling and loose film can reflect manufacturing or storage variation. Inspect the complete seam pattern, bottom closure, corners, and surrounding damage. One characteristic should not be treated as conclusive authentication evidence.

Which flaws should be documented?

Zenramo condition language

Zenramo uses plain descriptive language rather than assigning an unofficial numeric grade. Terms such as “minor shelf wear” or “visible box wear” are Zenramo descriptions, not an official Pokémon or third-party grading standard. The photographs and written flaw notes take priority over a short label.

Does condition matter if you plan to open the box?

Cosmetic shelf wear may matter less to an opening buyer, but water exposure, severe crushing, broken closures, or suspicious wrap still require review. Decide before purchase whether you are paying for opening utility or sealed display condition.

How should condition be confirmed?

Ask for current photographs of the proposed unit and a written list of known flaws. See the full sealed booster box checklist and Zenramo’s listing-accuracy terms.
